We work closely together with NADO Vlaanderen and WADA accredited laboratories to make sure our athletes can perform at the top level in a drug free environment!

Our history
The demand for and desire to practise bodybuilding naturally and compete at a competitive level grew steadily. Athletes, gym owners and parents were increasingly calling for action, and this led to the establishment of a doping-free organisation in Belgium. Between 1988 and 1990, a preliminary study was carried out into the launch of a sustainable development programme.
In 1990, the “NCOBB vzw.” (which stands for Natural Contest Organisation Bodybuilding Belgium) was further developed into a fully-fledged association, which was published in the Official Gazette and, in the same year, became a member of the International Federation NBBFI (umbrella organisation) and later the UIBBN, headquartered in France.
From then on, the organisation took part in European and World Championships at international level, with great success. NCOBB successfully hosted the World Championships in 1997, 2003 and 2016. In 2017, our organisation left the UIBBN, along with a large number of other European countries. After several years of searching for a new international partner organisation, we joined Physique Mania in 2025: a coalition out of decade long cooperation with Spain (AECN), Italy (AINBB) and France (AFBBN). In 2026 we succesfully hosted the European Championships with tremendous interest and feedback: the largest international natural bodybuilding competition in Belgium.
Our mission
To be part of a doping-free and regulated sports organisation where professionalism and the athlete’s experience of success are the top priorities.
The aim is to hold fair and doping-free competitions so that, after their sporting careers, athletes can continue to participate in sport on a recreational basis, safely and healthily, without the negative consequences and side effects of banned substances.
